Candidates who have appeared in the NDA / NA entrance exam conducted so far, first have to appear in the written test to be conducted for it. This written test consists of two parts: Maths and General Ability Test. This exam is of total 900 marks. Wherein the candidates who are successful in the written examination of NDA/NA are called for SSB interview. This interview is conducted to assess the intelligence and personality of the candidates. SSB Interview is also of 900 marks like written exam. Candidates who clear the SSB interview are called for the medical test and then the final result is declared. It is expected that in NDA/NA I 2023 also candidates can be selected on this basis.

Candidates who applied for this entrance exam first have to take part in the written test. According to the exam calendar of UPSC, the written examination for NDA / NA I 2023 can be conducted on 16 April 2023. Whereas earlier applications for NDA / NA II 2022 were sought from the candidates between 18 May 2022 to 7 June and its written examination was held on 4 September 2022.
