Will there be more vacancies in this recruitment?

SSC has announced to recruit about 4500 posts through CHSL Recruitment 2022. The number of vacancies in this recruitment has decreased continuously in the last few years, so the candidates are quite disappointed to see so few vacancies in the CHSL Recruitment 2022 as well. However, the commission has also given information in the notification that the number of vacancies can also be changed in this recruitment. At the same time, the commission has almost doubled the number of vacancies in GD Recruitment 2022. Therefore it is expected that the commission may increase the number of vacancies in CHSL Recruitment as well. However, any information in this regard will be revealed only after the commission gives any official information. Therefore, candidates should keep an eye on the official website of the commission for updates related to it.

How has the selection process changed

SSC has made a lot of changes in the selection process of CHSL Recruitment 2022. In fact, to get selected in the CHSL recruitments conducted so far, the candidates had to appear in the three-stage examinations. The candidates first had to appear for the CBT, then the descriptive paper in the second stage and the skill test/ typing test in the last stage. But to get selected in CHSL Recruitment 2022, candidates will now have to appear in Tier 1 and Tier 2 Computer Based Test. The commission has completely done away with the descriptive paper from this recruitment, whereas now the skill test/ typing test has been included in Tier 2 only. However, this year also the exam pattern of Tier 1 is almost same as last year.
