Prime Minister National Apprenticeship Fair: Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to promote career and employment opportunities for Indian youth by National Skill India Mission, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) on January 9, 2023 in 242 districts of 28 States and Union Territories of India is organizing the Prime Minister’s National Apprenticeship Fair (PMNAM) in
Around one thousand companies from different sectors are participating in this apprenticeship fair. These companies will provide opportunities to local youth to get right direction in their career through apprenticeship training and on-the-spot jobs to skilled applicants. With this, the youth will also get an opportunity to learn new skills along with livelihood.

Apprenticeship Mela: Apply from fifth pass to graduate

Those candidates who are class 5th to 12th pass and having skill training certificate, or they are ITI trade diploma holder or graduate can apply for this Apprenticeship fair. Interested candidates can register by visiting apprenticeshipindia.gov.in to participate in the Apprenticeship Fair and locate the venue nearest to them. Apprenticeship Mela: These documents will be needed

Candidates have to carry three copies of their Resume, three copies of all mark sheets and certificates, photo identity proof (Aadhar Card/Driving License etc.) and three passport size photographs to the fair. Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship informed that the candidates who have already enrolled themselves are requested to reach the venue with all their relevant documents. Through this fair, candidates will also be able to obtain National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) recognized certificates after the training sessions to improve their employability rate.

Apprenticeship Fairs on the second Monday of every month

Tiwari informed that Apprenticeship Melas are organized on the second Monday of every month across the country, in which selected persons get monthly stipend as per government norms for acquiring new skills. Apprenticeship is considered to be the most sustainable model of skill development and is being heavily promoted under the Skill India Mission.
