Life of cadets in NDA in 10 points

1. NDA cadets undergo rigorous physical and mental training to become officers in all the three armed forces of the country. The life of cadets in the academy is highly disciplined.
2. The morning for the cadets at the academy usually starts at 3.30 am. When they have to get ready to join physical training with seniors.
3. The training period of NDA is divided into 6 phases. The time limit for each stage is 5 months. In which academic examination, PT, swimming, horse riding, firing, drilling, tactics, navigation etc. are taught to the cadets.
4. All this training is conducted under the supervision of trend officers. Cadets also participate in a cross country run. In which 50 km. A race is organized. During this, cadets also have 20 kg weight. This training is given to the cadets in Pune.
5. Cadets are made to do pushups, pressups, crunches etc. Cadets who skip training at the Academy are also severely punished. Cadets who fail in training are also put out of training for some time.
6. Officers value intelligence, courage, self-confidence and physical fitness—good health—in cadets at the academy.
7. After 3 years, cadets are awarded BSc, BA degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University Delhi. In the final year, cadets are given special training in which cadets have to go to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Whereas Naval Cadets are sent to Air Force Academy Hyderabad in the last year.
8. Cadets going to join the Air Force are given training of one and a half years in the Air Force Academy. Only after that they are made flying officers.
9. According to the rules of the National Defense Academy, mobile phones are banned in the academy.
10. NDA cadets are also allowed to roam around the academy to celebrate the festival. Cadets can go to celebrate the festival in the evening with their belongings.
