CBSE aka Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi through CTET December 2022 exam released notification for appointment as teacher in classes I to VIII from graduate, B.Ed pass candidates.
CBSE CTET will conduct the CTET at various exam centers across the country spread across the country. The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE will conduct the examination in 20 languages either in Computer Based Test or CBT mode. Candidates willing to appear in the exam are required to register online at ctet.nic.in.
CTET Notification
CTET is an eligibility test conducted for the recruitment of teachers – PRT (Class 1 to 5) and TGT (Class 6 to 8) for schools run by the central government. The CTET score is now valid for a lifetime and is mandatory for the recruitment of teachers under the Right to Education, RTE Act. Those who have not yet qualified the exam need to appear for it.
Candidates who wish to apply for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) can apply online through the official site of CBSE CTET at ctet.nic.
Candidates willing to apply for the exam will have to pay Rs 1000/- only if belonging to General/OBC category for Paper I or II only and Rs 1200/- for both Paper I and II.
SC/ ST/ PH category candidates have to pay Rs.500/- for Paper I or II only and Rs.600/- for both Paper I and II. For more related details, candidates can visit the official site of CBSE CTET.
To apply online for CTET exam, candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below:
- On the official website, i.e. ctet.nic.in
- Click on online application link
- Enter the required credentials and note down the registration number
- Upload scanned images of latest photograph and signature
- Upload the digital signature and scanned images in the prescribed format
- Pay through Internet Banking or Debit/Credit Card
- Download and take a printout of the application form for future reference
Also, the registration has to be done online and no offline application will be accepted. Fees also have to be paid online. Candidates will have the option to correct the details once the application form is submitted.
CTET Exam Pattern
CTET is an assessment test for an individual to become eligible for the position of teacher. The CTET exam is divided into two papers:
- Paper I: Primary Stage (Class 1 to 5) Teacher
- Paper II: Primary Stage (Class 6 to 8) Teacher

- Online application process starts from 31st October, 2022.
- The last date to apply is November 24, 2022.
- The last date for submission of examination fee is November 25, 2022.
- The exam will be conducted simultaneously in 20 languages in cities across the country.

Remember, exam cities, they are strictly on a first come first served basis. So candidates are advised to fill the online application form as soon as possible. Request for change of exam city will not be accepted at any cost. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed notification carefully before filling the online application form.
Following persons are eligible to appear in CTET.
Minimum Qualification to become a teacher for CTET Class IV: Elementary Stage
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-1 passed or appearing in final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name called)
either
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and appearing or passed in the final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. ,
either
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed in final year or 4- Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
either
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2- Appearing or passed in the final year of Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
either
Graduation and appearing or passed in the final year of two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Minimum Qualification to be a Teacher for CTET Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage
Graduation and appearing or passed in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
either
Graduation with at least 50% marks and appearing or passed in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
either
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and appearing or passed in final year 4-A/B.Sc.Ed or BAEd/B.Sc.Ed

Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (special education)*.

Qualified B.Ed. Program recognized by NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Further, as per extant TET guidelines, vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, videography, a person pursuing teacher education course (recognized by NCTE or RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE notification.
