Life introduction of Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu: Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was born on 26 March 1964 in Hamirpur. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, a four-time MLA from Nadaun in Hamirpur district, is a lawyer by profession and holds an LLB degree.

A native of Hamirpur district, Sukhu began his political career in Himachal Pradesh as an activist in the National Students’ Union of India, the student wing of the Congress. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is considered very close to senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

Education of Sukhwinder Singh : Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu holds MA degree and LLB degree from Himachal Pradesh Shimla University.

Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu joined the NSUI, the student wing of the Congress, and was elected president of its state unit in 1989. Like many other leaders, Sukhu began his career in student politics and rose to the position of state unit chief.

Between 1998-2008, he also served as the President of the State Youth Congress. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was elected corporator of Shimla Municipal Corporation twice in the period between 1992 and 2002.

After being with the Youth Congress, he became the Secretary of the Pradesh Congress Committee in 2008. Sukhu was made the president of the party in 2013. He contested his first assembly election in 2003 from Nadaun, winning the seat in 2007, 2017 and 2022.
