Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam 2023 for Class 9th : Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the registration deadline for Lateral Entry Test Selection Test (LEST) 2023 for admission to class 9th. Earlier the deadline for registration was set as October 15, which has now been extended till October 25, 2022.

The exam conducting body, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, (NVS) will close the JNVST Class 9 registrations for Lateral Entrance Selection Test today, October 25, 2022. Interested students and parents can visit the official website for more updates and information related to this.

JNVST 2023 Lateral Entry Test

The selection test for admission to class IX will be held on Saturday, 11 February 2023 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of the concerned district / any other center allotted by NVS.

Only applicants enrolled in class 8 in the government recognized school of the district where JNV is located for the academic year 2022-23 are eligible to apply for LEST 2023. Candidates who had passed their class 8 exam in the previous academic year are not eligible for this. Apply for the selection process.

Candidates born between 1st May 2006 and 30th April 2011 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for LEST 2023.

How to Apply NVS LEST 2023

Step 1. On NVS Official Portal https://navodaya.gov.in/nvs/en/Home1 log on

Step 2. Click on the Class 9 Lateral Admission Admission link available on the homepage

Step 3. You will be redirected to a new page where you can complete the registration process by providing the required details

Step 4. Login and fill the application form

Step 5. Cross-check the entered details before finally submitting your application for NVS LEST

Step 6. Save a copy of the application for future reference

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written examination. The 2.5 hours long exam will consist of an objective type paper with OMR sheet. The questions will be of class 8 level, consisting of Hindi, English, General Science and Mathematics subjects. The medium of answering the paper will be Hindi and English.
