IAF AFCAT 2023: Today i.e. 30 December 2022 is the last chance to apply online for the Indian Air Force (IAF) Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 01/2023). Eligible candidates can apply till 5 PM today at afcat.cdac.in. The notification issued by the Air Force states that “Online applications are invited for courses commencing in January 2024 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches”. Online applications are also being invited for NCC Special Entry Scheme (for Flying Branch).

Training will be done at Hyderabad Air Force Academy

Training for selected candidates will be conducted for all courses in the first week of Jan 2024 at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad). The duration of training at Air Force Training Establishments is 74 weeks for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches and 52 weeks for Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches. Shortlisted candidates will be appointed as Commissioned Officer.

AFCAT 2023: Age Limit, physical fitness

For Flying Branch candidates age should be between 20 to 24 years. For Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches age should be between 20 to 26 years. Candidates are advised to be physically fit to undergo tests in AFSB when called by SSB. You have to run 01 Mile (1.6 Km) in 10 minutes. Also 10 push ups and 03 chin ups will have to be done.

AFCAT 2023: Selection Process

There will be three rounds including AFCAT written test. This will be followed by Officers Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test, Psychological Test and Group Test/Interview.

AFCAT 2023: Application Fee

  • A fee of Rs 250 will be charged for AFCAT.
  • There will be no fee for NCC.

How to apply AFCAT 2023

  • First of all visit the official website afcat.cdac.in.
  • Go to ‘Candidate Login’ ‘AFCAT 01/2023’.
  • Click on ‘New Registration’ and create a profile.
  • Fill the application form, upload documents and pay the fee.
  • Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
